Ok, so we're all fairly familiar by now with the health benefits of owning a Serta iComfort mattress. The entire line is chock full of blissfully comfortable, orthopedic-friendly options that help you get better sleep with less pain. But has anyone ever really considered the time-saving benefits of such a bed?
It all ties into the health benefits, I suppose. Without the health benefits, there would be no time-saving benefits. But here's how I see it: this bed saves time for the better things in life because you'll sleep through the entire night, instead of the fitful, interrupted sleep that you're getting on your old bed now.
Well, if you don't know then you've probably either had a stellar bed all your life or you've been extremely blessed to never have experienced the stiffness and pain that comes after a night of sleeping on a bad one. Because if you had experienced that pain, you'd know right off that becoming a fully functional human being after that takes quite a bit of time.
There's stretching and rubbing that must be done. There's the slow, careful steps around the house until you are able to stand erect again, and this type of walking is comparable to the pace of a snail. Then there's more stretching and rubbing, followed by even more careful walking.
The entire process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours - and sometimes longer. With this bed you might actually be able to jump right out of bed and start your day immediately. Not to mention that you may not need that 'power nap' after lunch. If you'd like for your bed to save you time, check out my mattress reviews:
Full Serta iComfort Genius Mattress
If you're looking for a super-firm bed, then the Genius may be right for you. As a relative newcomer, there aren't many buyer reviews on Amazon yet, but what is there is encouraging. This is the firmest Serta iComfort you can get, and it measures up to 11 inches thick.
Made with 2.75 inches of Cool Action Gel memory foam on top, this one is designed to give maximum relief from pressure points while also maintaining a cool ambient temperature. When considering one of these versus Tempurpedic, the Genius wins in terms of both firmness and cost effectiveness.
Queen Serta iComfort Revolution Mattress
Rated 4.7 out of 5 stars
66% of buyers gave it the highest rating possible.
The Serta iComfort Revolution has been around a bit longer, and the reviews are there to prove it. This is a particularly plush mattress, so if you're looking for something firm, this may not be your choice. If you enjoy a soft sleeping surface, however, this 12-inch mattress is an affordable luxury option.
KoolComfort memory foam delivers incredible support without being overly firm. It also helps to keep the sleeping surface cool and comfortable. You won't experience any more pressure point pain if you sleep in one position too long, and your sleep quality is likely to improve as well.
Serta 12-Inch Gel Foam 3-Layer Queen Mattress
Rated 4.0 out of 5 stars
54% of buyers gave it the best possible score.
This isn't technically an iComfort, but it's worth mentioning anyway since it's still an excellent product from Serta. It's a great option if the Prodigy, Revolution, Genius, or others are still a bit out of your price range.
This one features 12 inches of comfortable foam in three layers: 2.5 inches of gel memory foam, 2.5 inches of textured foam, and 7 inches of a supportive base foam. As with the others, you'll still enjoy the cool innovation of gel memory foam to prevent uncomfortable overheating at night. Think of it as the economical version of the iComfort - with virtually identical quality features.
So don't spend your mornings trying to wake up because you're sleeping on a bad bed! Do some extra bedtime reading about buyer's opinions of these beds at the links above. Maniac's promise: you'll sleep better on a new gel or iComfort than on that bad old mattress you've got now.
